Rapid Prototyping

FabLab BiH runs a high-performance prototyping environment, uniquely capable of delivering complete, functional hardware prototypes in extremely short cycles—often within 1 to 2 months—by combining advanced tools, expert knowledge, and integrated workflows.

Rapid Prototyping at FabLab

The lab includes a full suite of additive and subtractive fabrication capabilities: 3D printing (various technologies), 3D scanning, CNC machining, and precision cutting. What sets this lab apart is the combination of rapid digital design, external manufacturing partnerships, and expert coordination that allows complex systems—mechanical and electronic—to be realized quickly and reliably. In electronics, we support high-complexity PCB design for multilayer boards and oversee the full manufacturing and assembly process through a trusted international supply chain.

Our team’s material knowledge allows us to make informed decisions about performance, tolerances, and finishes—including combining plastics and composites—to support functional use cases and iterative testing. Every project is treated as a system: design, prototyping, and testing are all integrated under one expert-driven process.

This capability makes FabLab one of the very few labs in the region that can go from idea to a polished, working prototype in a matter of weeks—an essential bridge for startups, research projects, and industrial development.
