The project “Strengthening the Makerspace Ecosystem in the Visegrad Region and Bosnia and Herzegovina” aimed to support makers in BiH and the V4 countries by improving their sustainability through mapping, education, mentorship, an online platform (www.maker.ba), and access to funding, business models, markets, and methodologies.
It engaged over 150 individuals across 5 countries (BiH, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), supported the development of 5+ makerspaces, and facilitated collaboration through 4 major regional events, including Maker Faire Sarajevo with 3,000+ visitors and the Prague Makerspace Development Conference with 12,000 attendees. The project also delivered 10 mentorship sessions, created a digital makerspace map, and enabled long-term cooperation through the FabLabNet platform, strengthening the maker ecosystem across the region.
