FabLab BiH implemented a tailored digitalization and optimization project in 2024 for the company BEMA BA d.o.o., targeting the monitoring and control of production operations. The process began with a comprehensive assessment of the current workflow, identifying bottlenecks and optimization potential. Based on these insights, FabLab proposed and developed hardware and software systems, including the introduction of a pick-and-place mechanism to automate bottle arrangement on the production line.
Throughout the implementation phase, technical solutions were prototyped and adapted to BEMA’s operational environment. The final phase involved training company staff on the use of the new technologies, ensuring sustainable adoption. The initiative successfully reduced production costs, increased operational efficiency, and contributed to BEMA’s Industry 4.0 transition.
