MetaVET is a forward-thinking project that aims to transform vocational education and training (VET) systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro by integrating cutting-edge metaverse technologies and collaborative robotics (cobots) into teaching and learning. The project addresses the urgent need for digital literacy, sustainability, and high-tech skills among both educators and learners, aligning training with labor market demands.
The initiative’s core components include:
1. development of a customized VET curriculum integrating cobot use and immersive learning,
2. creation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to deliver scalable training, and
3. implementation of a Train-the-Trainer program to upskill educators with advanced technical competencies.
MetaVET also promotes inclusivity and ecosystem collaboration by engaging policymakers, industry stakeholders, and educational institutions. The project supports both green and digital transitions, contributing to sustainable development and preparing youth for modern industrial environments. Through regional partnerships, MetaVET offers a scalable model for modern VET reform that can stimulate long-term socio-economic growth.
