The project titled “Innovation in Production: Digitalization and Technology Integration” was implemented by FabLab BiH for Č.J. d.o.o., a company specializing in metal and wood structures. The aim was to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and raise the quality of engineering output. FabLab conducted initial assessments through surveys to identify skill gaps and analyzed the current software tools used. Though the company had access to tools like SOLIDWORKS, it lacked the expertise to apply them efficiently. FabLab designed and delivered a comprehensive training program covering areas such as Essentials, Assembly, Drawings, Sheet Metal, and Weldments, with a total of 15 sessions (60 minutes each).
Evaluation included real-time performance tracking and surprise tests. In parallel, FabLab provided engineering consulting and mentorship for continuous improvement, introducing Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and eliminate errors. The project significantly improved production efficiency and positioned Č.J. d.o.o. as a more agile and competitive market player.
