In 2024, FabLab BiH supported RADIUS d.o.o. in enhancing its internal transport coordination system through the EU4DigitalSME Innovation Voucher Scheme. The project aimed to optimize operations by digitalizing the full process from customer order to delivery, with a special focus on tracking delivery vehicles, monitoring costs, and visualizing key metrics. During the initial phase, FabLab’s technical team discovered that the company already had basic tracking software, but it was poorly implemented, inaccessible to managers, and lacked analytics. The team restructured the system and integrated it with Microsoft Excel and Power BI to enable route optimization and real-time reporting. Alerts were configured to notify management of route deviations beyond a ±1% threshold.
The project included extensive employee training, particularly for managers, on data interpretation, report generation, and decision-making based on live metrics.
The final solution offered GPS-based tracking, cost analysis, service schedule planning, and interdepartmental coordination tools, resulting in significant operational efficiency and customer service improvement.
