The project “Creativity and Design in Recycling and Upcycling” was conducted under the Creative FLIP mobility program (Finance, Learning, Innovation, Intellectual Property) for cultural and creative sectors, in partnership with the European Creative Hubs Network (ECHN). The initiative connected FabLab Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Kontak İzmir (Turkey) through a bilateral exchange to strengthen expertise in plastic recycling, circular design, and community engagement. It involved study visits, hybrid sessions, and co-designed workshops for children and youth.
The final activities were held during Maker Faire Sarajevo 2023, where participants demonstrated recycled materials, conducted hands-on sessions, and showcased their joint learning. The project contributed to cross-border knowledge exchange, strengthened youth education in green technologies, and reinforced collaboration between creative hubs in Europe.
