BioFarms Cluster – BFC

The BioFarms Cluster (BFC) strengthens innovation capacities in the Adriatic–Ionian region through a transnational cluster model. The Train the Trainer programme equips local Node Facilitators to support SMEs and institutions using circular economy practices, bio-based technologies, and sustainable product development.

Project Description

BioFarms Cluster (BFC) is a 3-year international project funded by Interreg VI-B IPA Adriatic Ionian, bringing together 9 partners from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece, and 3 IPA countries including Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Albania. The aim is to strengthen innovation capacity in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors through circular economy and smart specialization. FabLab B&H focuses on training 14 Node Facilitators (2 per country), who will coordinate activities locally and support SMEs in adopting circular practices and innovative technologies. The ultimate goal is to build SME resilience, drive sustainable product development, and support regional growth across the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region.
