Our vision is to become a benchmark Living Lab, connected to the European Living Lab ecosystem, where ideas are turned into real-world solutions through collaboration, experimentation and social impact.
Our Living Lab draws strength from a diverse ecosystem including the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo as our public-sector anchor together with key innovation and research partners: Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST), BSIP, ASA Institute, Digital Innovation Hub Digital Storm, Terasa Coworking Space and the Federal Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH. These stakeholders bring academic excellence, applied research capacity, SME-support services, coworking infrastructure and business-community access. We engage participatory tools such as focus groups, co-design workshops, surveys and collaborative sessions to ensure that all voices are heard in the innovation process.
Living Lab Cenetr is located at Vila Braun historical location dowtown Sarajevo.
Our Living Lab Centar brings together four interconnected thematic labs that bridge technology, creativity, and community needs. The Urban Mobility Lab explores smarter and safer ways to move around the city by testing solutions such as smart traffic systems, micro-mobility, and pedestrian-friendly design. The Internet of Things Lab focuses on sensor-based innovation, helping citizens and SMEs build connected devices for smart city, home automation, and environmental monitoring. The Green Digital Fabrication Lab empowers makers to prototype eco-friendly products, reuse materials, and practice circular design through digital fabrication and recycling technologies. Finally, the Immersive Technologies Lab turns ideas into experiences, enabling users to visualize, simulate, and co-create through VR, AR, and XR tools. Together, these labs create a hands-on ecosystem where experimentation, collaboration, and sustainability drive innovation for Sarajevo’s future.
