Aim of global initiative is to establish locally productive,
globally connected and self-efficient cities.
The initiative includes international think tank organizations, city authorities, urban
planners and innovators working to change the paradigm of the current industrial economy where
the city operates on a linear model of product import and waste production, into a spiral,
economic ecosystem in which urban resources and information of how the products are created are
exchanged globally.
The e-NABLE BiH program was established as part of the global e-NABLE network with the aim of using the use of existing equipment (3D printers, 3D scanner), but also design skills, to create, free or at very low prices, 3D printed prosthetic arms for those who are in need and who are not able to, through the traditional way or with the existing financial means, get them.
The Project will establish a maker movement in BiH brining many makerspaces under one umbrella which will provide comprehensive country wide access to digital fabrication tools and networks that will make it easy to share ideas, knowledge, designs, and project information, creating an environment that will foster job creation, education, R&D, innovation and youth entrepreneurship.
